The boys and girls Central Region basketball championships set for Monday, March 2 at VCU’s Siegel Center are postponed.
The games are set to take place Wednesday, March 4, starting with the Atlee-Cosby girls final at 6 p.m., followed by the John Marshall-Petersburg boys final at 8 p.m.
Cosby Activities Director Ted Salmon confirmed the changes Monday, stating that Chesterfield County schools received nine inches of snow and have a great shot at not attending school Tuesday.
The state quarterfinals are set for Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7.
The Central Region champions will host the Northern Region runner-ups Friday at the Siegel Center. Girls at 7 p.m., boys at 8:45.
The Central runner-ups will travel to James W. Robinson on Saturday, girls at 6:15 p.m., boys 8.
The Northern Region finals have been postponed as well.
